THEN & NOW: Previs Stage

SYNOPSIS

"Then & Now" is a short story which was developed with the intention of becoming my senior thesis film. The story follows a young lady who makes a visit to her old high school. The small empty art room brings back memories of her younger self, and the warmth of the familiar face that helped guide her along the way.

The previsualization process begins with collecting reference and scouring the internet for inspiration. I focused on a simplistic design approach, personifying the quiet, soft mood of the entire short story's ambiance.

I then moved into character exploration.

And finally, the storyboard.
